Scott Lodde is President of Accord Real Estate Group, Inc. (Accord), a real estate brokerage firm specializing in second home and vacation rental properties in Southwest Florida.
Scott started his career as a financial accountant working for a large CPA firm in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the home of his birth.
After receiving the designation of certified public accountant, Scott was recruited to help form Liberty Real Estate Group, Inc. in Boston, Massachusetts, a subsidiary of Liberty Mutual Insurance. During his career at Liberty, he held the positions of Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, and Director. He served as a member of the Executive and Investment Committees where he evaluated and selected specific properties suitable for purchase and development. Liberty purchased or developed 70 income-producing properties with a value of over $600 million.
He has a 40 year background in real estate sales, asset and property management, acquisitions, financing, partnership structuring, loan workouts, accounting, financial analysis, information systems and administration.
His property experience includes residential homes and condos, hotel, multi-family, office, retail, and health care.
While at Liberty, he directed a 40 person staff responsible for over 20,000 investors and 17 public and private partnerships. He supervised more than 30 property management firms responsible for over 4,800 residential units, 1.7 million square feet of retail and office space, 1,152 hotel rooms, 345 nursing home beds and 522 retirement living units located in 23 states. He directed a team of professionals responsible for the development, construction and opening of the Sanibel Harbour Resort & Spa, a 340-room resort complex in southwest Florida with a $50 million budget.
In 1998, he formed Accord. Initially, Accord co-developed hotel projects including the 104-room Fairfield Inn by Marriott in Fort Myers, Florida, the 126-room Hilton Garden Inn in Fort Myers, Florida, the 100-room Residence Inn by Marriott in Avon, CT, the 100-room Inn at Pelican Bay in Naples, FL and the 114-room TownePlace Suites by Marriott in Estero, FL.
From 1987 to 1992, Mr. Lodde was a member of the board of directors of The Residence Inn Association, an organization comprised of Residence Inn by Marriott franchise owners
Mr. Lodde holds a B.A. degree from the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts and a M.S. degree from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, Wisconsin.
Mr. Lodde is a Certified Public Accountant, a Community Association Manager (CAM) and a licensed Florida Real Estate Broker. He has served as Chairman of the Town of North Andover (Massachusetts) Master Plan Committee and was a member of the Town’s Strategic Planning Committee. Mr. Lodde previously served on the Board of Directors of the Sanibel Harbour Tower South Condominium Association, Inc. and the Board of The Residences at Copley Place, a cooperative building in Boston, MA.
